Payment System
We accept all major credit cards as payment. Althought our checkout system utilizes the services of Paypal, you are not required to have a Paypal account. Once you have completed your order and accepted the Terms of Service, you will be redirected to Paypal. On the Paypal screen, you can log in to Paypal, or simply click "continue" to pay directly by credit card. We process orders in Canadian Dollars. On the "Review your Payment" window, confirm the conversion option within the "Payment Method".
Taxes
Saplings is proud to be Canadian! All of our prices are in Canadian Funds, and subject to the 5% GST. For purchases made in British Columbia, an additional 7% PST will be added. Items purchased and shipped outside of Canada may be subject to additional duties, taxes or fees.
Shipping Rates
At Saplings, we offer flat rate shipping prices, based on the following shipping destination:
$7.50 - to anywhere in Canada
$15.00 - to anywhere in the USA
$30.00 - International destinations
Additional shipping charges may apply to over size or over weight items. When shipping to international destinations, please note that additional duties and taxes may apply. These are charged and determined by the shipping company and not by Saplings. Saplings uses Canada Post for shipping. When your order is shipped, you will receive an email with your shipping details and expected delivery time.
If you live in the Greater Vancouver Area, we offer a "Store Pickup" option. Select this option during checkout, and we will contact you to make arrangements for you to pick up your order at either our Port Moody or Burnaby pick up location.
Deliver Times
At Saplings, we will do our best to get your order to you quickly. Items ordered that are in-stock will be shipped within 48 hours. Because of the nature of our business, our suppliers are primarily small, family-owned operations. They take pride in the quality of their products and the majority of the merchandise in our store is hand-made. Therefore, if an item ordered is not in-stock, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Return Policy
At Saplings, we stand behind our products and therefore all items returned with in 10 days of receipt of purchase will be given a 100% refund for the product. (Please note that any shipping costs will not be refunded.) We carefully inspect each item before it is shipped to you, but if you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us. After notifying us, you will be given a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA). Please mark this number on the outside of the parcel to be returned to us. All returns must be received within 14 days of receipt of RMA. All returned items should be sent to:

Please note that delivery costs for any returned item is your responsibility. Saplings cannot be held responsible for any packages lost or damaged in transit. We highly recommend insuring your return and using a carrier that provides tracking numbers. Items returned must be in their original condition with any merchandise tags still attached. Products must be returned in their original packaging and must be unwashed. Please include the original packaging and sales invoice we sent to you with your purchase. You will be credited for any returned items as soon as they are received. If you have any questions about our return policy, please contact us.

At Saplings, your personal information is always kept confidential. We collect only the personal details required to allow us to process your order. This information includes your name, email address, telephone number and mailing address. We will not share or sell your personal information with any organizations. Your personal details are kept private and confidential at all times. Saplings using the latest technology for e-shopping available. Your orders are transmitted to us on secure lines using Secure Sockets Laver (SSL) technology. All of your personal and financial information is stored in encrypted format at all times.
Canceling an Order
You are able to cancel an order if it has not yet been processed. If you cancel your order before it is processed, Saplings will refund your credit card for the full amount.
Colours
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products that appear on the website. However, as the actual colors you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
Earth Friendly Printing & Packaging
We use recycled, recyclable or biodegradable packaging. We also try to re-use shipping boxes sent by our suppliers. Our business cards and invoices are printed on 100% Post consumer recycled paper.
